NATO spokesman  James Appathurai said the poppy issue had to be handled carefully due to poppies being the primary form of income for some Afghani’s.  “”We cannot be in a situation where we remove the only source of income of people who live in the second poorest country in the world without being able to provide them with an alternative,”  Appathurai acknowledged Russia’s concerns, and considering UN estimates say Russia has 200,000 heroin or morphine addicts and 30,000 deaths each year attributed to opiates, he has reason to.  Russia says 90% of the opium produced in Afghanistan is moved through its territory via Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and 21% of the world’s opium is consumed or sold from within its territory.

In an interview with the New York Post, author HP Albarelli Jr. alleges the CIA not only dosed the small French village of Saint-Pont-Esprit with LSD in 1951 but had a rouge Bureau of Narcotics officer dose a New York subway car in November 1950 and again in 1952.  Albarelli points to a declassified August 25 1950 Baltimore Field Office report which includes the following statement – “The BW [biological weapon] experiments to be conducted by representatives of the Department of the Army in the New York Subway System in September 1950, have been indefinitely postponed,”.  A colleague of Frank Olson, the subject of Albarelli’s book “A Terrible Mistake:The Murder of Frank Olson and the CIA’s Secret Cold War Experiments”; Dr Henry Eigelsbach confirmed that the experiment did go forward in 1950, although the details of which line, when and the number of people affected have been lost.

What Eigelsbach can confirm is the identity of the operative who carried out the releases.  He points to Bureau of Narcotics agent George Hunter White who was on “special contract” with the CIA.  “George White in 1952 did release a small amount of aerosol LSD in a subway car. He was pleased with the results as indicated in his diary, but his reports on the incident were destroyed by the CIA in 1973,” Eigelsbach says.  As long as people have looked into MKULTRA the name George Hunter White has come up, so much so that public knowledge of White’s activities include: he operated a CIA safe house in Greenwich Village at 81 Bedford St, which had two apartments separated by hidden doors and two-way mirrors.  Using standard covers such as a sailor or an artist new to town, he would have parties where his guests would be secretly dosed with LSD while White recorded their reactions and tested them to see how much he could get them to reveal about almost any subject.  Some charge that White filmed couples having sex as well, although to my knowledge no evidence has ever been presented.

While the revelation that the CIA may be implicated in the Pont-Saint-Esprit affair was damning enough, the idea that these experiments took place in a such a public place, in the biggest city in the United States, with no possible way to practically track the results, to me diminishes the already tarnished image of the CIA.  I have long believed the “company” to be completely inept and in need of banishment.  After reading Tim Weiner’s book “Legacy of Ashes”, I was almost convinced that maybe it was all down to incompetence that the CIA hasn’t had a real success since securing Latin and South America for US business interests.  If Albarelli’s research is correct then these people aren’t dumb they are plain evil.  Only an evil person would willfully give an unknowing person a dose of LSD, especially since it has been widely known that CIA officers frequently experimented on each other at the beginning of their mind control experiments, that they knew the effects of LSD and more importantly its effects on a person dosed with LSD.  Ron Paul was right, its high time to smash the CIA to bits and expose the truth to the world.

Georgian broadcaster Imedi TV is in hot water after broadcasting a “news” program depicting a Russian invasion and the murder of President Mikheil Saakashvili.  The program began with the warning-the program showed a sequence of possible events that could occur “if Georgian society is not brought together against Russia’s plans.” The program showed people fleeing the capital of Tbilisi, and a panicked populace in Gori and Mtskheta.  Imedi TV used their regular news graphics and had no visible warning on-screen that what people were seeing was a simulation.  Panicked citizens who missed the opening of the show flooded the countries telephone system calling each other and the station to find out what had happened.  

Both South Ossetia and Abkhazia have come out to denounce the broadcast as Georgian state propoganda.  Much to the chagrin of Georgia, Russia has recognized both former Georgian held territories since 2008.  Abkhazian President Sergei Bagapsh called the “news” report “tremendous idiocy” that didn’t deserve any attention.  “Everything is peaceful here, we are going about our own business,” he told RIA Novosti, “If someone wants to show Russia as an aggressor, it will not work,” Bagapsh added. “There is one aggressor in the Caucasus – Georgia under the leadership of Saakashvili.”  South Ossetia was quick to denounce the broadcast as paranoid delusion.  “We do not consider it necessary to comment on the ravings of Georgian television,” South Ossetian Foreign Minister Murat Dzhioyev told RIA Novosti.  Russia’s envoy to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, called the broadcast “criminal” and used the broadcast as proof NATO shouldn’t be dealing with Saakashvili.  “Through lies and shocking provocations, Saakashvili continues to play off the fraternal peoples of Russia and Georgia,” Rogozin said, calling the Georgian president “a very sick and dangerous man.”  Saakashvili, brought to power following the 2003 Rose Revolution, on Sunday called Imedi’s program “unpleasant” but “very close to reality,” adding that Georgia’s key task was to prevent the Imedi-shown scenario from happening in real life.

American author H P Albarelli Jr makes the claim that the CIA dosed the town of Pont-Saint-Esprit in southern France in August of 1951.  During the research for his book “A Terrible Mistake: The Murder of Frank Olson and the CIA’s Secret Cold War Experiments”,  Albarelli spoke to two former colleagues of Olson’s who indicated the Pont-Saint-Esprit incident was part of a joint Army/CIA mind control experiment.  Olson is widely believed to have been murdered in 1953 after leaving a 13th floor window of a New York City hotel.  Olson was a civilian biochemist working for the Army’s top-secret Special Operations Division out of Fort Detrick, Maryland.  Olson’s colleagues were employed by the Switzerland based Sandoz Pharmaceutical, the company supplying and manufacturing the Army and CIA’s LSD supplies.  Albarelli’s source claimed the French town was both sprayed with aerosolized LSD and had “local foot products” contaminated as well.  Albarelli claims the most irrefutable evidence comes from the 1975 Rockefeller Commission, which met to look into the abuses and misconduct of the CIA.  In a document numerous names of French nationals secretly employed by the CIA and direct references to the “Pont-Saint-Esprit incident.  Since these revelations have come to light French Intelligence chiefs have demanded the CIA explain themselves.

The United States became very interested in mind control after the Korean war, during the height of the Cold War.  Mind control was widely believed to be a good substitute for the rather expensive training and upkeep of standing armies.  CIA director Allen Dulles authorized the MKULTRA program in April 1953, it included experiments using hypnotism, LSD, and other drugs on subjects who were sometimes unaware of their participation in the excercise.  The goal of the project was to provide a fail safe method of invading a subject’s mind, controlling the subject’s mind thereby allowing for the retrieval of both physical and intellectual intelligence, or using programmed assassins to accomplish geopolitical goals.

Mr Jaffer was fined $500 and lost his licence for 90 days, concluding the strange affair that began September 11 2009 when Jaffer was driving through his wife, Minister of State for the Status of Women, Helena Guergis riding of Simcoe-Grey, and was pulled over for speeding by Ontario Provincial Police.  After observing the smell of alcohol on the drivers breath the officer administer a breathalyzer test and arrested Jaffer.  In published news stories from the time of the arrest, Jaffer was taken to an OPP station in Caledon and given two more breath tests in a four-hour period and was then charged with impaired driving, Cocaine possession and speeding before being released.  The fact that anyone arrested for Cocaine possession on a friday evening and didn’t stay in jail until bail conditions could be set on monday seemed to me to be quite curious at the time.  Jaffer responded on September 17th in a written statement to the Edmonton Journal-”I intend to fight the serious accusations that have been made against me, I am innocent and am confident of full exoneration. I cannot express how grateful I am for the support of my family and friends and I ask that you respect their privacy as I strive to clear my name.”  Jaffer’s righteous indignation at the charges and his inability to apologize, and ask for forgiveness struck me as odd for someone who had been an MP since the age of 25.  Immediately after the announcement was made the spin doctors were hard at work surmising that there must have been a cock-up in procedure to allow this to happen-but if it was a procedural error that led to the charges being dropped that certainly doesn’t excuse Mr Jaffer from apologizing to the people of Simcoe-Grey for the dangerous behavior he willingly engaged in, nor from apologizing to the people of Edmonton-Strathcona for betraying their trust after electing him four times.  To my knowledge Mr Jaffer has never publically acknowledged that he is alleging he was framed by the OPP, no pundits are saying he had the “Cali Wowie” planted on him by leftist cops-so WTF.  Just because you get off on a technicality doesn’t mean you aren’t guilty it just means you aren’t incarceratable-something Jaffer would be well advised to remember.

Upon the announcement of the judgement against him the speculation has begun as to why the charges have been dropped.  NDP justice critic Joe Comartin on thursday asked Ontario Attourney-General Chris Bently to make public the Crowns decision to drop the impaired driving and speeding charges.  He also asked Federal Justice Minister Rob Nicholson to disclose to the public the reason the Cocaine charges were dropped.  Comartin’s letter to Nicholson includes the following-“I would ask you to accept the request in this correspondence in the spirit of good faith intended by me but also on behalf of all Canadians who are questioning whether Mr. Jaffer received favourable treatment…I want to be clear that I personally do not believe that to be the case. … However, in this case I believe it is absolutely necessary that disclosure of the reasons for dropping these two charges must be made public as soon as possible.”  Confidence and trust in government in Canada is wavering now, with Stephen Harper`s decision to prorogue Parliament, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty`s decision to prorogue the Ontario Legislature, Newfoundland Premier Danny Williams going to the United States for surgery, the slashing of foreign aid while continuing to fund the “Own the Podium” campaign for another go around the Olympic rings-regular people are getting sick and tired of being treated like second class citizens while the people we elect to protect our rights and freedoms do what they want, why they want and don`t have to explain their decisions to us Proles.  When I saw Harper at the Olympics sitting with BC Premier and Drunk Driver, Gordon Campbell it made me sick-there is little wonder why the country I love is being turned into a cesspool. 

The fact remains that Mr Jaffer did receive preferential treatment, and if you don’t think so just go recreate his excursion, get caught, and I guarantee you wont be fined $500 and loose your licence for 90 days.

In Kevin Dougherty’s March 5th 2010 Montreal Gazette article “US will determine who can board some Canadian flights”, Transport Canada officials deferred to Public Safety Canada-despite the fact Transport Canada is the Federal Agency in charge of airlines.  Dougherty quoted David Charbonneau, a Public Safety Canada spokesman said although he would not comment on the Canadian governments position on Secure Flight or the government’s position on the US legislation.  Charbonneau did say “Canada works in partnership with the United States, as well as with other allies on aviation safety and security.”  “Canada’s approach will continue to balance the privacy rights of travellers with the need to keep the public safe from terrorist and other threats to the air transportation system.”  When Dougherty asked Dimitri Soudas, a Stephen Harper spokesman refered all questions on Secure Flight back to the man who oversees Transport Canada-Transport Minister John Baird. 

The Canadian airline industry already checks passenger manifests width US no-fly lists compiled through the FBI.  Proponents say that Secure Flight will help to eliminate the number of false positive hits the no-fly lists cause for people who have the same name as those on the list.  Under Secure Flight the US Transportation Safety Board would have access to all US government databases. 

Under Secure Flight, Canada will transfer personal information of travellers to Homeland Security, preferably 72 hours before takeoff. Then, the TSA will use Infoglide-50 “identity resolution” algorithms and similar complex mathematical formulas such as search engines to extract and compile information from several sources, to check passenger identities.

From the Gazette article-” “If necessary, the TSA analyst will check other classified and unclassified governmental terrorist, law enforcement, and intelligence databases — including databases maintained by the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defence, National Counter Terrorism Centre, and Federal Bureau of Investigation,” notes Secure Flight Final Rule, the U.S. government document that defines the program.

The General Accounting Office, an US institution similar to Canada’s Auditor General, is concerned this sweeping check could cause new problems. “More individuals could be misidentified, law enforcement would be put in the position of detaining more individuals until their identities could be resolved, and administrative costs could increase, without knowing what measurable increase in security is achieved,” the GAO said in a January presentation to the U.S. House of Representatives committee on Homeland Security.  Andrea McCauley, a Homeland Security spokeswoman in Washington, D.C., said the TSA is confident there will be fewer false positive results, branding innocent travellers as potential terrorists, than under the current no-fly list system. “We have designed this program to ask for the minimum amount of personal information necessary,” she said.

If the search of U.S. databases, which will also contain data collected in Canada such as police records, turns up “no match” between and passenger and the watch list, Homeland Security will inform the airline it can issue a boarding pass.  Personal information will be purged from the system after seven days, McCauley said.  “If you are a potential match, it would be retained for seven years,” she said, explaining that “a potential match is someone who has been determined not to be an exact match but has the potential to match some of the data elements.”  If the search returns a positive match, personal information will be kept by Secure Flight for 99 years.”

This is yet another example of the Draconian measures we all face in the wake of seemingly unrelated events that when accumulated leave the public at large screaming to be protected and giving up their rights and freedoms in the process.  How many times has the US or Canada been attacked since 9/11?  How about none-nada, both countries are fighting the war in Afghanistan and the US is also fighting a war in Iraq; and the militant Islamist who tried to “take our Freedom”, have not launched any retaliatory attacks on our soil in almost nine years. 

Secure Flight also reinforces the reality that there is no distinction between Canada and the US as far as national security and the lust to strip the people of their rights and property.  Both countries had ordered and were testing the full body scanners in airports on Christmas day when the patsy “Underwear Bomber” struck upon approach to Detroit.  Almost immediately the media touted the fact that if we had the body scanners in every airport in the country-and take your pick it was on Canadian news too-the “Underwear Bomber” never would have got to the gate.  This is a modern example of the Hegelian Dialectic in action: 1) PROBLEM- You are a company that took painstaking effort to develop and manufacture Full Body Scanners that take a 360 degree naked image of your body which can be instantly printed and certainly saved in a database.  Your product does exactly what it is supposed to, but, you can’t break into the lucrative North American market due to peoples pesky morales and privacy concerns, oh and child pornography laws in the UK. 2) REACTION- Create a crisis that will cause the masses to clamour for more security.  Maybe you could recruit the son of a wealthy banker, with reported mental problems, tell him you’re recruiting him to take place in a drill.  Fill the lad with terror and confusion-fly him from Nigeria to Ghana to pick up his materials- make sure he knows to say the bomb came from Yemen; to play up the existence of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP)send the lad from a key European terminal airport-Amsterdam will work just fine-have the “sharp dressed man” escort the passportless patsy past security and on to the plane-keep the lad calm by having someone visibly videotaping him the whole flight-if you believe the bomb was supposed to go off, as I do, then the lives of many people were saved both on the plane and on the ground-if you believe the bomb was supposed to malfunction and just bring attention to the culprit, then 3) SOLUTION- Sell airports your 360 degree naked body scanners to prevent all underwear bombers in the future, preferably with someone with the requisite knowledge of security.  Someone like former US Homeland Security secretary Michael Chertoff, he appeared on CNN’s Campbell Brown show to tout the implementation of the scanners-fortunatly he also reviled that one of his security consulting company:Chertoff Group has customers who make the full body scanners.

The United States and England are paired against one and other; this is the Shadow Governments wet dream come true.  Just imagine what would happen if the hotels, buses, or event itself were targeted, it would give these devils exactly what they would need to create the security state they`ve been longing for.  Let’s face facts people-these people were not prepared for the number of us who opened our eyes to the 9/11 lie and the only way around us is to somehow cause a more horrific attack to keep the sheep longing for a fence to keep the wolves at bay-and how better than to attack the very people that we’ve been indoctrinated to idolize and adore.  What would happen if England woke up to hear that David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, and the rest of their national team or their supporters had been attacked by those dastardly terrorists in caves?  Well, England would never need to spend a dollar on military recruiting for another two generations-it would be a cauterizing event that would unite the people in revenge and ensure the further loss of rights at home in the name of national security.  What would happen in the US, after all most Americans couldn’t name five players on their national Football (Soccer) team; I believe White House Chief of Staff and all around Douce Bag, Rahm Emanuel said about the financial crisis, “You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”  Well for all the bullshit that they seem to be trying lately, I for one can’t wait to see what they didn’t think they could get away with in the past.  Considering that the American public has been put on the hook for $27 trillion dollars in bailouts and stimulus monies, subjected to body scanning devices because US intelligence allowed a person they knew was a potential terror threat to board a plane, and the deranged actions of one man with a drudge and a plane to cause the demonization of anyone who believes government is too large and requires too much of our money to run itself. 

I went back and forth whether I should post this or not, with the Austin Echelon Building Attack(?) this week.  I don’t want to seem like I’m trying to make a prediction-trust me I will thank God that I’m wrong, but we shouldn’t be afraid to speak up when we see something that seems obvious and is not being looked at by anyone else.  When our media, who we have every right to demand look at the world critically, fails or refuses to do so it is up to us!

The single living suspect in the Mumbai attacks of November 2008 has recanted his confession, saying he was arrested two weeks before the attacks and was shot, tortured and rearrested after the attacks.  Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, 22, told a judge last friday that he came to Mumbai as a tourist twenty days before the attacks began.  “I was not present at VT [Victoria Terminus, the former name of Mumbai's main railway station]. I do not know what has happened,” Kasab said.  ”Witnesses have come and recognised me because my face looks similar to the terrorists … that is why I was picked up. I have been framed”, he said.  Kasab denies being the person photographed in VT with an AK-47 in the photo above.  Prosecution lawyer Ujjwal Nikam dismissed the claims as the latest attempt of a desperate man to save he own life; Kasab faces the death penalty.  The prosecution has presented security footage as well as photographic evidence that allegedly shows Kasab and accomplice Abu Ismail at VT with AK-47′s.  But Kasab told the court: “If you see, all witness accounts are similar. They talk about a tall guy and a short guy. This shows that the police have told these people to identify me as a terrorist…I have learnt from the police that the short guy is dead.  His name is Abu Ali.”  Abu Ali has been identified as one of the four men killed in the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower hotel.  What is unclear is whether the authorities have any audio recordings of cell phone calls placed by the Kasab to his handlers in Pakistan.  The cell phone conversations were intercepted by Indian Intelligence through SIM cards provided by the authorities to the Pakistani group Lashkar e Taiba, the group Kasab alleges his father sold him into during his video tapped confession.  Kasab said he had initially travelled by train to Mumbai – home of the Bollywood film industry -”to see cinema” and was picked up by police on a beach in the northern suburbs 20 days before the attacks.  The 22-year old said he was initially brought into police custody after wandering around the city late at night, looking for a place to stay. His Pakistani citizenship aroused suspicion, he said.  Kasab also claims that police took him from his cell on the day the attacks started because he resembled one of the gunmen, and then shot him to make it look as if he had been involved in the attacks and re-arrested him.

President Barack Obama’s zeal to move to a move mechanized fighting for took a hit this week when the Wall Street Journal announced Iraqi insurgents are able to capture Predator Drone video feeds with $26 software packages.  The Pentagon is deploying record numbers of drones to Afghanistan as part of the Obama administration’s troop surge there.  The Journal was quick to point out these were Iranian based, Shiite, Iraqi insurents-come on, you couldn’t get Syria and North Korea and have the whole axis of evil back together, anyway - who used programs such as SkyGrabber to capture the unprotected video feeds from the Drone aircraft.  The concern being that insurgents would be able to figure out where the drone was flying and thus evade or attack the aircraft.  As Wayne Madsen points out in the RT video above the fact that US intelligence doesn’t encrypt the video feed on some Drone flights is very interesting indeed.  If all drone video feeds weren’t encrypted then one could rightly assume that it was down to plain negligence, but if only some of the video feeds have been left open to hackers, maybe there is a reason for that?  Officials say that the drones controls were never compromised, only the video feed was accessed.  US military officials say they have known about the problem for almost a year, when a laptop was found to contain drone flight video.  As more laptops with pirated footage began to pop up, “In July, the U.S. military found pirated drone video feeds on other militant laptops, leading some officials to conclude that militant groups trained and funded by Iran were regularly intercepting feeds.” – again where the hell did Iran come from?  A senior defense official said that James Clapper, the Pentagon’s intelligence chief, assessed the Iraq intercepts at the direction of Defense Secretary Robert Gates and concluded they represented a shortcoming to the security of the drone network. “There did appear to be a vulnerability,” the defense official said. “There’s been no harm done to troops or missions compromised as a result of it, but there’s an issue that we can take care of and we’re doing so.” Senior military and intelligence officials said the U.S. was working to encrypt all of its drone video feeds from Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, but said it wasn’t yet clear if the problem had been completely resolved.  Although most of the intercepted feeds have been in Iraq, insurgents have also intercepted feeds in Afghanistan and US military and intelligence services worry about the technology being used in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia.  Lt. Gen. David Deptula, who oversees the Air Force’s unmanned aviation program, said some of the drones would employ a sophisticated new camera system called “Gorgon Stare,” which allows a single aerial vehicle to transmit back at least 10 separate video feeds simultaneously.  Gen. Deptula, speaking to reporters Wednesday, said there were inherent risks to using drones since they are remotely controlled and need to send and receive video and other data over great distances. “Those kinds of things are subject to listening and exploitation,” he said, adding the military was trying to solve the problems by better encrypting the drones’ feeds.  The potential drone vulnerability lies in an unencrypted downlink between the unmanned craft and ground control. The U.S. government has known about the flaw since the U.S. campaign in Bosnia in the 1990s, current and former officials said. But the Pentagon assumed local adversaries wouldn’t know how to exploit it, the officials said.  The militants use programs such as SkyGrabber, from Russian company SkySoftware. Andrew Solonikov, one of the software’s developers, said he was unaware that his software could be used to intercept drone feeds. “It was developed to intercept music, photos, video, programs and other content that other users download from the Internet — no military data or other commercial data, only free legal content,” he said by email from Russia.
